Fund Information
THE CLEF GOOD NEWS FUND was established by the Chicagoland Lutheran
Educational Foundation (CLEF), a group of Christian,
Chicago-area business leaders.
The CLEF
purpose and mission is to help children achieve academically
within a Christian environment by providing
financial assistance primarily to deserving Lutheran elementary
and secondary schools in the city of Chicago.
Since
1993, the CLEF Good News Fund has been making grants
to schools for scholarships, textbooks, computers,
special education programs, urgently needed building
maintenance and other needs.
Chicago
Lutheran schools are neighborhood schools. Located
throughout the city, they serve children of all races,
creeds and economic backgrounds. They are an important
educational alternative for many families.
