Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy: Funds projects that support the development of literacy skills for adult primary care givers and their children. Program must have been in existence for two years and must do at least one of the following: literacy for adults, parent education, literacy or pre-literacy for children Pre-K - Grade 3, or intergenerational literacy activities.
Cable's Leaders in Learning Awards: You can apply for an award yourself or nominate someone else who demonstrates vision, innovation, action, and transformation in education.

Fund for Teachers: Individual $5000 grants and team $7500 grants for classroom teachers to participate in training and enriching activities to improve and enhance their skills. The application deadline is January 20.
General Mills Champions for Healthy Kids: 50 grants of $10,000 each to support innovative programs that help youth develop good nutrition and fitness. Deadline to apply is February 1.
